Adele Mara..............Born Adelaide Delgado in 1925 Spanish-American Adele Mara was a singer/dancer with Xavier Cugat and His Orchestra in Detroit by the age of 15. Cugat took this beautiful brunette girl into New York in 1942, after which a Columbia talent agent took her on. Cugat was a part of a variety of unremarkable, brisk B movies with Tex Ritter including Vengeance of the West in 1942 and Alias B. Blackie which was released in 1942 and starring Chester Morris. Following her signing to Republic Studios, she became an elegant platinum blonde pinup a couple of years following.
